PURPOSE: To obtain a dyed or printed piece having light fastness of color, wet fastness of color, and oxidation resistance by using an aluminum phthalocyanine reactive dye.

CONSTITUTION: The chemical structure of the aluminum phthalocyanine reactive dye or its salt is represented by formula I (wherein Pc is a phthalocyanine group; X is Cl or hydroxyl; R1 and R1' are each H or an alkyl which may be substituted with hydroxyl, a halogen, -SO3H, -OSO3H or -COOH; R2 and R3 are each H, an alkyl or an alkylene chain of C; R4 is H, a halogen, hydroxyl, -COOH, -SO3H, an alkyl or an alkoxyl; and Z is a heterocyclic fiber-reactive group having an unstable halogen such as F or Cl, for example, a group of formula II). The dyeing temperature varies with the properties of group Z used here. An example of the compound is represented by formula III. The reactive dye may be used in dyeing or printing alone or, in virtue of its good compatibility, in combination with another reactive dye of the same class.
