Abstract:

To provide an aluminum porous sintered body suitable for use as the positive electrode collector of a battery or a capacitor requiring higher power and high energy density or a buffer material during bonding aluminum alloys having different thermal expansion coefficients.

The aluminum porous sintered body has Al-Ti compounds dispersed and distributed on an aluminum sintered basis material. The aluminum sintered basis material is a sintered body formed of aluminum particles and aluminum particles, and the Al-Ti compound particles are formed by synthetic reaction sintering aluminum particles and titanium particles. The Al-Ti compound particles are sintered with the aluminum particles on the aluminum sintered basis material, and the aluminum porous sintered body has the whole porosity of 10-70% since voids are formed among the aluminum particles on the aluminum sintered basis material.
