To provide an aluminum supporting plate for a printing impression and a method for manufacturing the same, which is excellent in flatness and heat resistance because it does not warp even if it is treated by treatment requiring heating, and can be easily mounted on a printing machine, and can endure severe printing operation, and can reduce a cost by reducing its thickness, that is, its weight, and is gentle with the environment because of its recyclability.
The aluminum supporting plate for a printing impression is used as a supporting plate for planography. The aluminum supporting plate is characterized in that the maximum value of the residual stress, in the direction of the thickness, measured by the sequential removal method is not larger than 98 MPa in absolute value, and further the difference between the residual stress at the front surface and the back surface is not larger than 64 MPa in absolute value.
