Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the inside of a furnace from being contaminated by scattering Mg, to improve an oxidation preventive reaction of a brazing part, and to improve the quality of brazing, by providing an Mg reflecting plate so as to cover an object to be treated, in the vicinity of the object to be treated, in a space between the inner wall of the furnace and the object to be treated.

CONSTITUTION: An object to be treated W is charged into a furnace together with a carrier frame 7. After the furnace has formed a vacuum by closing it up tightly, a heater 5 is conducted electrically, and the inside of the furnace is brought to a temperature rise up to a brazing temperature. A brazing filler metal which has covered a brazing part of the object to be treated W is melted, Mg which has been contained in the brazing filler metal is coupled with O2 and becomes MgO and scattered, and Mg which has not been coupled with O2 is also scattered. They are obstructed by an Mg reflecting plate 10, and not scattered in the direction of the furnace wall. Therefore, Mg does not adhere to a heat shielding plate 3 and a furnace inner wall 1a, etc. Also, the greater part of Mg is scattered to a narrow space between the Mg reflecting plate 10 and the object W to be treated therefore, the brazing part is not oxidized, and a good brazing can be executed.
