The aluminum wheel is forged in the whole area of the disc section including the outer flange in the axle direction of the product wheel and at least the inner side in the axle direction of the rim section of the product wheel is formed by a flow forming process. The manufacturing method comprises a casting process 101 of casting a wheel material which has an open room inside in the axle direction of the outer flange in the axle direction of the material, a forging process 102 of forging the whole area of the disc section including the outer flange in the axle direction of the wheel material, and the flow forming process 104 of applying flow forming on the rim section of the wheel material. The manufacturing process also comprises a press and expansion process 103 of pressing and expanding the rim section of the wheel material outward in the radius direction.
