EXAMPLE: N-n-Octyl-N-cyclohexyl-N-sulfoethylamine.

USE: Buffering agent, surface active agent, emulsifier of food such as oil, skin conditioner, protecting and antiphlogistic agent for cells and skin, carcinostatic agent, cancer-preventing agent, additive of solid detergent, etc.

PROCESS: The objective compound I can be prepared either by reacting an amine II with a halogenated fatty acid III (X is halogen) or a sulfonic acid IV, or by sulfonating a compound V by conventional means.
