Abstract:

To obtain a carbon black that is easily dispersed in an organic solvent without adding a dispersant.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing amine-modified carbon black in which, characterized, a carbon black for which liquid separation is not visually observed after 5 minutes of standing of a fluid dispersion obtained by mixing (i) carbon black 10 pts.wt., (ii) 25% ammonia water 10 pts.wt., and (iii) ion-exchanged water 80 pts.wt., and dispersing together with Sepul beads 230 parts in a paint shaker for 30 minutes, and an amine compound is mixed in water to bond the amine compound to the carbon black.SELECTED DRAWING: None
