Title:
AMINE-OXIDE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05279318
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an amine-oxide which has a reduced tendency to crystallization and is advantageously usable for the prepn. of a moldable or spinnable cellulose soln.

CONSTITUTION: The compd. of formula I [R1, R2 are each a 1-4C alkyl; R3 is H, OH; (m) is 1 to 8; (n) is 0 to 4, provided that, (n) is not 0 if R3 is OH); for example, 2-(N,N-dimethylaminoethoxy)-ethanol-N-oxide. The compd. is obtd. by oxidizing the corresponding ternary amine of formula II by using H2O3. The utilization of a cellulose soln. having the smallest water content and having ≥10 wt.% cellulose content based on the weight of the soln. is made possible by using the amine-oxide of the formula I. A compd. (e.g.; rutin, quercetin, morin) having a flavone group as a stabilizer may be incorporated at 0.001 to 1.5 wt.% into the cellulose soln.
