The invention provides an aminoacetonitrile derivative expressed by general formula (I) and a pest controlling agent containing the derivative as an active component. In the formula, Q is a 1-6C alkyl, a 1-6C haloalkyl, phenyl, a substituted phenyl or the like; R1 is a hydrogen atom, a 1-6C alkyl or the like; R2 is hydrogen atom, a 1-6C alkyl or the like; R3 and R4 are each a hydrogen atom, a 1-6C alkyl or the like; R2 and R3 may together form a 2-6C alkylene; R5 is a 1-6C alkyl, a 1-6C haloalkyl, a phenyl(1-6C)alkenyl, a substituted phenyl(1-6C)alkenyl, a phenoxy(1-6C)alkyl, a substituted phenoxy(1-6C)alkyl or the like; and W is an oxygen atom, NR6 or the like.
