NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I [R1 is H, alkyl, phenyl, naphthyl, or pyridyl; the group of formula II is at the 3- or 5-position of the pyrozole ring; R2 and R3 are alkyl, benzyl, or together with the bonded N-atom form a 5W7-membered ring of formula III (m and n are 1W3; X is O, CH2 or NH)], and its acid addition salt.
EXAMPLE: 3-[2-(N,N-Diethylamino)ethyl]-1-phenylpyrazole.
USE: Agricultural and horticultural fungicide having excellent antifungal activity against rice blast, and high antifungal activity against various plant pathogens such as those causing helminthosporium leaf spot of rice plant, powdery mildew of cucumber, gray mold of kidney bean, etc.
PROCESS: The compound of formula I is prepared by reacting the enyne compound of formula IV (R4 is alkyl) with the hydrazine compound of formula R1NHNH2 in the presence of an acid or an alkali.
