Abstract:
The present invention relates to a turbo-charging compression-ignition internal combustion engine, which is configured in at least one operation mode to be operated by using ammonia as the main fuel or the only fuel, and a retrofit-kit. To this end, as for the internal combustion engine, an ammonia valve (50) comprises: a cylinder (1) having a reciprocating piston (10) therein; a cylinder cover (22) covering each cylinder (1); a combustion chamber (15) formed between the reciprocating piston (10) and the cylinder (1); at least one prechamber (33) arranged at the cylinder cover (22) and connected to the combustion chamber by means of an opening (35); and a nozzle (51) having a nozzle hole (52) opened to at least one prechamber (33). Moreover, the ammonia valve has an entry port connected to a supply source (40) of a pressurized liquid ammonia, and is configured to spray liquid ammonia into the prechamber by means of the nozzle hole (52) from the pressurized liquid ammonia supply source (40).
