Title:
AMMONIA REMOVAL METHOD IN FUEL CELL SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2014123468
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ammonia removal method in a fuel cell system for effectively removing ammonia without becoming a load on water processing and without significantly lowering a dew point of anode gas, in the ful cell system including a fuel processing device for producing fuel hydrogen for a fuel cell stack.SOLUTION: An ammonia removal method in a fuel cell system includes: installing a drain pot on a path from a reforming catalyst layer outlet to a fuel cell stack inlet in a fuel processing device; and controlling an S/C ratio (Steam/Carbon Ratio) in reforming reaction in such a manner that a dew point at the reforming catalyst layer outlet becomes a temperature or higher at (1) the reforming catalyst layer outlet, (2) in any path after the reforming catalyst layer outlet in the fuel processing device, (3) at a drain pot inlet, or (4) in any path from the reforming catalyst layer outlet to the drain pot inlet, and that "water independence" is established to cover water to be consumed with water generated within the fuel cell system.
