Title:
AMORPHOUS ALLOY FOR CORONA WIRE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61157661
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the amorphous alloy for a corona wire having superior resistance to oxidation by ozone by blending Cr, Si, B, and Fe each in a specific proportion.
CONSTITUTION: The alloy consisting, by atom, 1W10% Cr, 3W20% Si, 5W25% B, and the balance essentially Fe is prepared. One or ι2 kinds among the following may further be incorporated: ≤about 3% Nb; ≤about 3% Mo; ≤about 3% Ta; ≤about 5% C (C+B; ≤about 15%); and ≤about 3%, in total, of 1 or ≥2 kinds among Ti, Co, W, V, Ni, and Pb. The corona wire formed out of this alloy is capable of providing the resistance to oxidation by ozone without deteriorating its strength which is a characteristic of amorphous alloys, and can be used for electrophotography.
