To produce an amorphous alloy for joining excellent in sheet producibility and joint characteristics, as a sheet material for joining used for the joining of various steel tubes, by incorporating specified amounts of B, Co and Si into the components of a steel tube to be joined.
As an amorphous alloy for joining used for the joining of a steel tube by carbon steel, low alloy steel, high Cr steel, ferritic stainless steel, austenitic stainless steel or the like used in apparatus requiring high reliability such as a boiler or the like, an amorphous sheet alloy having a compsn. contg., by weight, 2 to 4% B, 1.5 to 4% Co and 0.5 to 1.5% Si, and the balance components of the steel tube to be joined is used. This sheet alloy material is easily producible, and furthermore, the amorphous sheet material for joining excellent in joint performance can be obtd.
