Title:
AMORPHOUS MAGNETOSTRICTIVE MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5595626
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an amorphous magnetostrictive material capable of being easily formed into a sheet and having an increased electromechanically bonding coefficient and enhanced corrosion resistance by specifying the relative contents of Fe, Ni and Co, the Cr content and the content of transition elements as secondary components.

CONSTITUTION: The material has an atomic ratio compsn. represented by the formula (where M is a combination of one or more out of Si, B, P and C, 0≤p ≤0.6, 0≤q≤0.6 and p+q=0.6). The Cr in the material is an essential component to provide amorphousness and enhance corrosion resistance, and the content is pref. 0.05W10 atomic ratio %. Transition elements other than the principal components are contained in an amt. of 8% or less to the total amt. An amorphous alloy obtd. by melting this material is easily subjected to heat treatment for increasing the electromechanically bonding coefficient, and it has improved frequency dependency and magnetic field dependency.
