Title:
AMORPHOUS SOLAR CELL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61199673
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain an amorphous solar cell, whose characteristics are never deteriorated during a high-temperature test and a high-temperature and high-humidity test, with low-priced facilities, and moreover, with high productivity by a method wherein the electrodes on the side of the light-transmitting surface are formed of a conductive paste. CONSTITUTION:Transparent conductive films 11 are formed on a light-transmitting insulating substrate 10, such as a glass; a P-type amorphous layer 12, an I-type layer 13 and an N-type layer 13 are formed in order thereon; conductive pastes (nickel pastes) containing nickel as its main component are formed using a spray method as electrodes 16 on the side of a light-transmitting surface 15; and moreover, the connecting parts 17 of the electrodes 16 with the transparent conductive films 11 are also formed for performing a series connection. By this way, the ohmic contact of the electrodes 16 with the N-type amorphous layer 14 is obtained and an efficiency of equality or more with a case that such metal electrodes as aluminum electrodes are used can be let have as the initial characteristics of the amorphous solar cell. Moreover, diffusion of the nickel into the N-type amorphous layer 14 during a high-temperature test can be prevented by the resin component in the nickel pastes, and at the same time, the oxidizing reaction and the reducing reaction to the transparent conductive films 11 during a high-temperature and high-humidity test are suppressed. As a result, the deterioration of the characteristics of the amorphous solar cell is eliminated.
