Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a detector for checking out the amount of remainded paper allowing an operator of a computer installed apart from a printer to know the amount of remained paper avariable for printing.
CONSTITUTION: A detector for checking out the amount of remainded paper used for an image forming device comprises a loading means 1 for loading paper sheets P, a paper feeding means 1 for feeding the paper sheets P loaded by the loading means, a driving means for driving the paper feeding means 1, and a detecting means 9 for detecting the fact that a sheet of paper fed by the paper feeding means 1 reached to a predetermined point 10 on a feeding track. The above detector is provided with a time measuring means for measuring time over from the start of driving in the paper feeding means 1 to the start of detecting a paper sheet by the detector 9.
