Abstract:
PURPOSE:To execute a complete clipping by comparing a clip voltage with an output signal level from an output stage of a differential pair of emitter follower constitution and interrupting the current supply to a transistor(TR) in the output stage when the output signal exceeds the clip voltage. CONSTITUTION:A differential pair is formed by connecting common emitters of NPN TRs Q8,Q9 to an earth contact via a constant current source I1. Then the differential pair compares the clip voltage Vr with the output signal level from the output stage of the emitter follower constitution comprising TRs Q3-Q6 and a constant current source I3 and interrupts the current supply to TRs Q3-Q6 in the output stage when the output signal exceeds the clip voltage Vr. Thus, a complete clipping is attained.
