PURPOSE: To enable accurate and quick reading of time by performing optical display of an hour hand by a single and wide display.

CONSTITUTION: An upper-layer display unit 2 has sixty bar-shaped inside display elements A0WA59 arranged inside radially and at equal intervals, and sixty bar- shaped outside display elements B0WB59 each arranged on each other extension of said inside display elements A0WA59. In the same way as the upper-layer display unit 2, a lower-layer display element 3 has inside display elements A'0WA'59 and outside display elements B'0WB'59. The inside display elements of one of these display units 2 and 3 are arranged in positions which fill up spaces formed between the other inside display elements. An hour display is made by a plurality of inside display elements adjacent to each other in the peripheral direction, and thereby the display of an hour hand is made wide and single.
