Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable quick and effective analysis of the monoclonal immunoglobulin increase syndrome by involving a step where a component parts of a second aliquot which is separated by capillary electrophoretic method is compared with that of a first aliquot.
CONSTITUTION: Comparison between the separated component parts of first and second aliquots is made by comparing observation-based, normalized electrophoresis graphs in such a way that directly subtracted peaks are readily recognizable. The values of areas under individual peaks from the first and second aliquots except the area under the peak subtracted are substantially the same, while the value of the area immune subtracted from the second aliquot and held within the range of immunoglobulin is substantially different from the corresponding area of the first aliquot. Also, a multichannel device capable of evaluating two different aliquots simultaneously can utilize various anti- immunoglobulin antibodies, and has the capabilities to compare the electrophoretic graphs and to analyze a plurality of aliquots simultaneously.
