Abstract:

To provide a rapid analytical method of residual organic contaminants.

The method comprises the steps of: extraction/collection step 13 for extracting or collecting a residual agricultural chemical 12 in contaminant 11 by a solvent; determination step 14 for determining the concentration of the extracted or collected residual contaminant by absorption photometry; measurement step 17, in which, when the contaminant has high concentration 15, its concentration is measured, as it is or diluted 16 if necessary, by any of a gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer, a gas chromatograph-electron capture detector, and a liquid chromatograph analyzer; solid phase extraction step 19, in which, when the contaminant has low concentration 18, the contaminant in the extract is adsorbed and captured with a solid phase adsorbent and thereafter eluted from the solid phase adsorbent by an eluate; and measurement step 17 for measuring the eluted contaminant.
