PURPOSE: To facilitate a job for anchor handling operation in a way of floating an anchor through buoyancy by making an anchor rope inserted into an insertional part shiftable in one direction, and installing a backstopper, prohibiting any movement in the reverse direction, and a buoyant body in a body, respectively.
CONSTITUTION: When a ship is advanced forward for anchor handling, a body 10 and a buoyant body 17 both are left intact at that spot by dint of water resistance, whereby they are pulled by the ship and a rope 2 is inserted into an insertional part 11 of the body, so this body comes nearer to an anchor. Then, if the rope comes to a state of being tensed, the buoyant body 17 is submerged in the water, so buoyancy is added to the anchor, thus the anchor goes up. At this time, even if the rope is slackened because ship speed goes down or comes to a stop and a wave or swell is produced, the rope 2 is prohibited of its down at the insertional part by the backstopper, so that the anchor will in no case go down again. Therefore, even if the ship speed is dropped or stopped and the wave or swell is produced, anchor lifting gets off undone.
