Title:
ANCHORING DEVICE FOR CATAMARAN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH10264881
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To mitigate limitations of the installation location of an anchoring device and prevent damage of the hull by providing an anchor storing chamber which opens in the surface of water direction on the bow side of the bottom surface of a central connecting part, providing a hose pipe by being passed through the central connecting part in the anchor storing chamber and providing an opening and closing cover on the opening part of the anchor storing chamber.

In an anchoring device, an anchor storing chamber 6 opening in the surface of water WL direction is provided on the bow side bottom surface 3A of a central connecting part 3 connecting a main hull 2, a hose pipe 7 is provided in the anchor storing chamber 6 by being passed through the central connecting part 3 and an opening and closing cover 8 is provided on the opening part 6A of the anchor storing chamber 6. When an anchor is dropped by the anchoring device 1 of a catamaran, the opening and closing cover 8 is opened and the anchor is dropped by releasing constraint of an anchor chain 5. The anchor chain 5 which is sufficiently fed is fixed and a vessel enters an anchorage. Because the anchor chain 5 is extended from the bottom surface of the central connecting part 3, the anchor chain 5 does not come into contact with the main hull 2, even if the catamaran swings by wind. Thus, limitations of the installation location of the anchoring device is reduced and generation of a trouble due to a scratch of the hull can be prevented.
