PURPOSE: To make the titled anemometer small in size by omitting a movable part, by using two semiconductor pressure sensors in which detecting directions of a wind pressure are orthogonal to each other, and calculating a wind direction and a wind speed from an output of the semiconductor pressure sensor.

CONSTITUTION: Semiconductor pressure sensors 1, 2 are provided so as to be orthogonal to each other, and detect a wind pressure in the east and west directions and the south and north directions, respectively. Outputs of the sensors 1, 2 are amplified by amplifiers 3, 4, respectively, and thereafter, inputted to an arithmetic circuit 5 consisting of a microcomputer. The arithmetic circuit 5 calculates a wind direction and a wind speed by outputs of the amplifiers 3, 4, and the wind direction and the wind speed which are calculated are displayed on a display part 6.
