To reduce detection errors by equalizing the number of winding turns on a radial direction inner side and the number of that on a radial direction outer side of an annular planar coil constituting a sensor rotor and by improving balance of magnetic fluxes occurring on the planar coil.
A angle sensor comprises: a sensor rotor including an annular planar coil 22; and a sensor stator including an annular planar coil arranged to face the planar coil 22 of the sensor rotor. The planar coil 22 of the sensor rotor includes two planar coil patterns 26A, 26B arranged in a circumferential direction, and the one planar coil pattern 26A is wound to generate a magnetic field in a direction opposite to a magnetic field of the other planar coil pattern 26B. Both the planar coil patterns 26A, 26B includes winding patterns 26Aa, 26Ab, 26Ba, 26Bb extending toward the circumferential direction on a radial direction inner side and on a radial direction outer side. The number of winding turns of the winding patterns 26Aa, 26Ba on the radial direction inner side is the same as the number of winding turns of the winding patterns 26Ab, 26Bb.
