The angular ball bearing 1, used with its rotational axis line 11 positioned substantially along the vertical direction in the upper part of the suspension, is provided with the counter-bored inner ring 3. A limiting member (stop ring) 8 is provided on a counter-bored part 33 of this counter-bored inner ring 3 to limit the movement of balls 4 or a retainer 5 relative to the counter-bored inner ring 3 in the axial direction. As a result, the counter-bored inner ring 3 is not separated, even when an axial load is applied downward on the counter-bored inner ring 3, with the front face of the counter-bored inner ring 3 facing upward.
