Title:
ANGULAR VELOCITY SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06194178
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an angular velocity sensor capable of suppressing the generation of noises on a detecting piezoelectric element caused by the vibration of a vibrator due to the expansion and shrinkage of a driving piezoelectric element.

CONSTITUTION: A driving piezoelectric element 6 is stuck at the upper section on the left side face of the first prism section 3 of a vibrator 1, and a driving piezoelectric element 7 is stuck at the upper section on the right side face of the second prism section 4. A detecting piezoelectric element 8 is stuck at the lower section of the front face of the first prism section 3 of the vibrator 1, and a detecting piezoelectric element 9 is stuck at the lower section of the front face of the second prism section 4. The driving piezoelectric elements 6, 7 and the detecting piezoelectric elements 8, 9 are shiftingly arranged not to be overlapped in the axial direction of the prisms.
