To provide an immune deficient mouse having a xenograft of locally advanced or metastatic human prostate cancer.

A method for selecting treatment individualized for human patients suffering from locally advanced or metastatic prostate cancer comprises (a) transplanting a locally advanced or metastatic prostate cancer tissue obtained from a patient or a suspension of the tissue to an immune deficient SCID female mouse or castrated mouse, (b) applying treatment to the SCID mouse, (c) comparing growth of the xenograft in treated SCID mouse with growth of the xenograft in a control SCID mouse to which the treatment is not applied and (d) selecting the treatment for patients if rate or range of growth of the xenograft in the treated mouse was decreased, compared with that of the control mouse by the treatment.
