Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage to at least the rump of a small animal.
SOLUTION: This animal positioner is composed of an outer frame structure member and an inner frame structure member pivoted in the outer frame structure member. A small animal pressing plate is placed under a rear edge plate of the outer frame structure member in a manner rotatable from the upper side to the upper face of a stage. The pressing plate is rotated from vertical state to horizontal state by the extension of a working rod of a horizontal cylinder of the stage when an empty animal positioner is transferred to a setting position of the small animal. The plate is supported in horizontal state on a receiving plate of the working rod by the extension of the working rod of a vertical cylinder placed in a gas layer.
