Abstract:

To provide an anion exchange membrane and a manufacturing method thereof, which have excellent power generation efficiency and durability.SOLUTION: An anion exchange membrane 16 provided in a membrane electrode assembly 15 of a fuel cell 1 includes a polymer film 17 made of an anion exchange resin, and AgO dispersed in the polymer film 17. Further, the polymer film 17 made of an anion exchange resin is immersed in an aqueous solution containing silver ions (first immersion step), and then the polymer film 17 is immersed in an aqueous solution containing hydroxide ions (second immersion step), and then the polymer film 17 is dried to form silver oxide in the polymer film 17 (drying step), thereby obtaining the anion exchange membrane 16.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
