Abstract:
Provided are: an anion exchange resin that has less of an odor and is suitable for use in ultrapure-water production systems and the like; and a water treatment method that uses the anion exchange resin. An anion exchange resin that has less of an odor and is formed by mixing a basic anion exchange resin and, per 100 parts by mass of the basic anion exchange resin, at least 0.01 but less than 5 parts by mass of a hydrogen form strongly acidic cation exchange resin. The basic anion exchange resin is preferably: a vanadium-loaded resin that is a basic exchange resin that has been loaded with vanadium; or a reducing resin that has a sulfurous acid group and/or a bisulfite group.
