To provide an anion exchanger whereby metal impurities contained in an aqueous alkali solution thereof can be eliminated rapidly by a simple method, and to provide a method and a device for refining an alkali aqueous solution using the anion exchanger.
The method for refining an alkali aqueous solution includes a pre-treated anion exchanger having been prepared by a process of bringing an anion exchanger into contact with a high concentration alkaline which removes impurities contained in an anion exchanger by making into contact with a high concentration alkali treating liquid being not lower than 5.0 N, and a device 1 for refining an alkali aqueous solution using the anion exchanger 3, and a process of removing metal impurities in an alkali aqueous solution containing the metal impurities by using the anion exchanger.
