Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an anion exchanger especially effective for the selective adsorption of a nitric ion by using the anion exchanger having an anion exchange group to which a hydrocarbon chain having a plurality of carbon atoms is bonded.
CONSTITUTION: As a nitric ion adsorbent, an anion exchanger having an anion exchange group to which a 2C or more hydrocarbon chain such as hydrocarbon chain such as ethyl or propyl, a hydrocarbon chain having an ether bond or a hydrocarbon chain partially substituted with a halogen group not participated in reaction is used. This anion exchanger selectively adsorbs and removes a nitric ion especially from a relatively dilute solution wherein various anions are present along with a nitric acid. After adsorption, this anion exchanger is treated with a basic aqueous solution such as a caustic soda solution or aqueous ammonia or a saline solution to be regenerated.
