Title:
ANISOTROPIC RARE EARTH PERMANENT MAGNET AND ITS MANUFACTURE AND METAL MOLD FOR FORMING ANISOTROPIC PERMANENT MAGNET
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02290003
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a large-sized permanent magnet constituted in a body, by unifying with pressure a plurality of blocks in a body in a powder metallurgy manner, to which blocks anisotropy is imparted by a specified powder magnetic material.

CONSTITUTION: Powder magnetic material containing rare earth elements is buried in a mold, and pressure is applied in the vertical direction B while parallel magnetic field is applied in the horizontal direction A. Thereby blocks 21 to which anisotropy is imparted in the A direction shown by an arrow A are preliminarily molded. Next the blocks 21 are arranged in four rows in the direction for imparting anisotropy shown by arrows, and tightly enclosed in a bag having no permeability to liquid. The aggregate body tightly enclosed in the bag is subjected to cold hydrostatic pressure molding in a space where magnetic field is not applied. Thereby a large-sized permanent magnet constituted in a body can be obtained.
