To provide an anisotropic scattering film in which reflected light emitted from the viewer side is anisotropically scattered and reflected, thus the visibility of the reflected light and the visibility of the transmitted light of sceneries or the like can be made consistent, and which has a car temperature reduction effect, does not damage electric wave permeability, and is applied to a head up display for vehicles, helmets or the like; to provide a film for a head up display; and to provide a glass.
Regarding the anisotropic scattering film at least composed of a dielectric matrix comprising metal nanorods, and in which the aspect ratio of the metal nanorods is 1, the sphere equivalent radius of the metal nanorods is 10 to 20 nm, and also, the metal nanorods are oriented to a fixed direction in the dielectric matrix, the ratio between the haze value Hx to rectilinear polarized light in the x direction in the anisotropic scattering film and the haze value Hy to rectilinear polarized light in the y direction vertical to the horizontal plane in the anisotropic scattering film, (Hy/Hx) is 0.6.
