Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an ink jet recording medium that has high image density and resolution, has high annotation ability with ink and pencil, and is suitable to transparent and reflection duplication.

CONSTITUTION: This annotatable ink jet recording medium comprises a transparent or opaque substrate 1, having on at least one side thereof an annotatable water-in-soluble, water-absorptive and ink-receptive matrix 2, said matrix 2 comprised of a hydrogel complex and a pigment. The pigment has about 2.2 to 7.0 Moh's hardness and about 0.5 to 10 micron average grain diameter, and the matrix has more than 20 g critical one-body value.
