To prevent trip of a main switch on the building side by providing a control device for announcing users attention that using of an elevator operates the main switch on the building side, when it is expected that total of used current amount of the main switch on the building side exceeds a standard value of the main switch.

A larger current flows through the main switch 11 on the building side at a larger load using amount, and this is detected by a current detecting device 6. A signal of the current detecting device 6 is fed into a current input device 7 in an elevator control disk 5. A total current calculating device 8 adds the signal of the current input device 7 to a current value in starting of the elevator, and determines whether it exceeds capacity of the switch on the building side. When the current value by the signal from the total current calculating device 8 exceeds capacity of the switch, an over judging device 9 operates. The signal from the over judging device 9 outputs an output signal to a display device 10A in a car and a display device 10B at the landing, displays the output signal, and thereby can announce users.
