Title:
ANNULAR AIR DISTRIBUTOR FOR REGENERATIVE THERMAL OXIDIZER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3608633
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform propulsion of uniform distribution of air and to improve a flashing effect by a method wherein gas is directed to one suction means of a plurality of towers or alternately directed in a manner to be caused to flow through a different tower.
SOLUTION: Gas is maintained at a working temperature for a time long enough to complete VOC destruction. Heat released during an oxidation process is worked as fuel to reduce a necessary burner output. Air flows vertically downward from a combustion chamber 26 and through other tower containing a heat-exchange medium 25 and heat is stored in the medium 25 so that the heat is used when a flow rate control valve is inverted at a suction cycle. Clean air produced as a result of the above flows an exhaust manifold through an exhaust valve and is released in the atmosphere at temperature slightly higher than that of intake air, and re-circulated to an oxidizer intake pipe. This constitution performs propulsion of uniform distribution of air, reduces a flashing volume, and thus improves a flashing effect.
