PURPOSE: To reduce the size of an annular channel linear induction electromagnetic pump by decreasing the number of components thereof.

CONSTITUTION: The annular channel linear induction electromagnetic pump comprises an outer peripheral pipe 20 disposed in a molten metal 10, a nonmagnetic protective pipe 30 disposed in the outer peripheral pipe 20, and an inductor 50 formed between the pipes 20 and 30 in order to generate a moving field in an annular channel 40. The outer peripheral pipe 20 exhibits magnetism at least at the part surrounding the inductor 50 and provides an element of a magnetic circuit passing the magnetic flux.
