The annular metal cord C1 is manufactured in the following steps of untwisting a metal cord 20 which is obtained by twisting a plurality of strand material 1, 2 each other, and dividing into two wire groups with different total sectional areas, and setting the group of the strand material 1 with a larger total sectional area as a reuse wire material group 3, and setting the group of the strand material 2 with a smaller total sectional area as a non use wire material group 4, a step of forming a part of the longitudinal direction of the reuse wire material group 3 into a circle and a step of inserting the surplus part 3b of the reuse wire material group 3 into a helical space 5 which is formed by removing the non use wire material group 4, in the circular part 3a, and wound.
