PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an annular type spiral diffusion flame combustor substantially free from the backfire and the oscillating combustion, reducing the generation of NOx and CO, unifying a temperature in the circumferential direction, keeping low NOx and combustion efficiency regardless of the increase and decrease of load, achieving high combustion load by a single combustor, even when the combustor is enlarged, and reducing the substantial combustion load.
SOLUTION: This annular type spiral diffusion flame combustor comprises a hollow ring-shaped spiral flame combustion liner 12 having a ring-shaped closed end face 12a, a ring-shaped opened end face 12b, a cylindrical outer liner 12c connecting outer edges of the ring-shaped closed end face and the ring-shaped opened end face, and a cylindrical inner liner 12d connecting the inner edges of the ring-shaped closed end face and the ring-shaped opened end face, a plurality of air introduction ports 14 for jetting the air for combustion inward in the tangent direction to an outer peripheral part near the closed end face of the flame combustion liner for forming the swirl jet flow inside, and a plurality of main fuel injection holes 16 for injecting the fuel inward in the axial direction from the ring-shaped closed end face.
