Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the buckling phenomenon developed in an anode for electrolysis without increasing cooling water spraying quantity and cooling time by arranging a tunnel for passing through the cooling water into a mold and arranging water supplying pipes and water draining pipes for cooling water in the tunnel as radial state from the rotating center of a turn table.
CONSTITUTION: Molten metal is poured into the mold 2 while rotating the, turn, table 1, and by executing cooling and stripping in order, as besides the water spray from the upper surface of a copper anode cooling device, the cooling water is passed through a water supplying main pipe 16, head tank 13, the supplying water pipe 11, tunnel in the mold 2 and water draining pipe 12, the mold 2 is cooled and the cast copper anode is sufficiently cooled. Therefore, the buckling phenomenon of the copper anode is prevented. Then, as the cooling water is heated, the water is vaporized in order and discharged from vapor piping 17 and only the vaporized quantity is supplied into the head tank 13 from the water supplying main pipe 16.
