Abstract:

To provide an anomaly detecting circuit for a magnetic encoder capable of detecting an anomaly in a magnetic pattern.

N poles and S poles are alternately arranged on a surface of a rotary body 1 for forming a constant magnetic pattern. One of two magnetic detection elements is arranged in a position of the N pole and an other is arranged in a position of the S pole so that each of the elements can obtain a mutually complementary signal output. An exclusive OR of the signal outputs of these two magnetic detection elements is determined at an EXOR gate 3 for outputting an anomaly signal.
