This antenna for the article management shelf arranges an antenna line in loop shape on the surface of a shelf board of the article management shelf for aligning and placing the articles with the RFID tags attached, on the shelf board. The antenna line is arranged such that the magnetic field generated from at least a part of the antenna line obliquely passes through the RFID tags. For instance, when the RFID tags are arranged along the front edge of the shelf board in parallel with the depth direction in aligning the articles on the shelf board of the article management shelf, the antenna line 21a passing close to the front edge of the shelf board 11 is arranged inclining so as to pass obliquely to the front edge of the shelf board.
