To promote thinning, to facilitate assembly, and to improve productivity while suppressing characteristic deterioration of an antenna device which can be mounted on a mobile apparatus and is used for non-contact communications.
In an antenna assembly 10 for non-contact communications, a metallic magnetic substance plate 12 of which an inductance component μa of permeability in a frequency band for non-contact communications is higher than "1", and of which a magnetic loss component μb is lower than "10", is adopted as an electromagnetic wave shielding plate that is installed on the back of an antenna substrate 11. Besides, the antenna assembly adopts a built-up structure of laminating respective members while interposing an intermediate member such as an engaging member 13 composed of a material which is non-conductive and of which permeability is approximately "1", between the antenna substrate 11 and the metallic magnetic substance plate 12.
