PURPOSE: To obtain a high antenna gain with small-sized constitution, by fitting the operating shaft of a variable tuning element, which is connected to a conductor to constitute an antenna circuit, at right angles to a printed wiring board.

CONSTITUTION: An antenna circuit ANT leads out electromagnetic energy induced at a looped antenna conductor 7, to a feeding point as an output with a maximum gain corresponding to a desired reception frequency by adjusting a variable capacitor VC for tuning. This output is led from the antenna circuit ANT to an amplifying circuit AMP through conductors 14 and 15 for connecting the amplifying circuit, and led out from output terminals 21 and 22. The capacitor VC used to select a reception frequency is adjusted by rotating an operating shaft 10 arranged to project at right angles to a printed wiring board 6.
