To provide an antenna and its manufacturing method having an electromagnetic wave cut-off function for reducing the harmful effect of electromagnetic wave to a human body without degrading the performance of the antenna.
A groove is formed in a helical form outside a core by winding copper wires along this groove to form a helical line, by forming the helical line only with a spring without using the core, or by printing metallic paste (paste) on a core in the helical form to obtain the helical line. A film for cutting off electromagnetic waves is arranged on part of the outer peripheral surface of the produced helical, that is a surface corresponding to the direction of the human body (x-direction). There, a metallic material which is excellent in electric conductivity is used as the cut-off film, or a material absorbing the electromagnetic waves can also be used. By forming the antenna by printing the metallic paste on only one side surface of the core, the radiation of the electromagnetic wave in the direction of an unprinted surface is reduced.
