To provide an antenna for a mobile telephone set which has a transmission/reception effect similar to an antenna of a metal coil spring by forming a contact, a male screw, a lock and an element by pressing or squeezing a thin metal pipe and providing horizontal slits on a lateral part of the element to be mutually confronted.

On an upper portion of a contact 5 equipped with a longitudinal slit 5a on a lower portion of the thin metal pipe of a prescribed length, a male screw 4 is formed by pressing or press-working, and on an upper portion of the male screw 5, a flange-like lock 3 is formed at a prescribed length. On an upper portion of the lock 3, an element 1 for a prescribed length is formed and on the lateral part of the element 1, a plurality of slits 6 equal with or longer than a half circumference of the element 1 are horizontally provided to be mutually confronted.
