To provide an antenna for a portable radio equipment with a structure where a frequency characteristic of coupling between a 1st antenna section and a 2nd antenna section is improved and a strong coupling is obtained, to provide the inexpensive linear antenna suitable for the antenna and its manufacture.
An antenna for a portable radio equipment is made up of a 1st antenna section 10 that is mounted on the radio equipment and whose one end connects to a feeding section, a 2nd antenna section 20 whose one end is coupled electrically with the 1st antenna section via a resin section 28 when extended externally, and a linear antenna whose straight line part 21a of an antenna element 21 is formed to at least one end of the 2nd antenna section 20. Furthermore, a groove in the axial direction is formed to a part at which at least the straight line part of the antenna element is formed to an outer circumference of a resin formed integrally with a coil in the linear antenna having at least the straight line part to one end and the straight line part is inserted in the groove and an insulation film is coated on it.
