When housed, the element 22 is entirely housed inside a case 12 leaving a knob part 33 and the upper fitting part 35 of the element 22 is fitted and fixed to a main body 11. At this point, the helical coil 21 is operated as this antenna by a single body. Thus, when housed, it is turned to the 1/4 wavelength helical antenna of almost 50 Ω. On the other hand, when extended, since a metal pipe 25 is inserted in the helical coil 21, impedance itself is lowered and the helical coil 21 is operated as a simple power feeding element. Since the whip element 26 capacitively coupled to it pulls the impedance in a high direction again, the total antenna impedance becomes about 50 Ω.
